Crawl 2 is officially in development and is scheduled to begin filming in Budapest in early 2025. The sequel to the 2019 survival horror film Crawl will once again be directed by Alexandre Aja, who is also returning as a producer alongside Sam Raimi and Craig J. Flores. The script is being written by Andrew Deutschman and Jason Pagan, known for their work on Paranormal Activity: The Ghost Dimension and Project Almanac.
Unlike the original film, which was set in Florida during a Category 5 hurricane, Crawl 2 will take place in New York City. The story follows a family navigating the urban wilderness as they encounter monstrous alligators that have escaped from the Central Park Zoo during a devastating storm. The film is expected to deliver high-stakes tension and suspense, continuing the franchise’s legacy of thrilling survival horror.

While specific details about the plot of Coco 2 have not been released, the sequel is expected to continue exploring themes of family, memory, and music. Fans are hopeful that the film will expand upon the rich world introduced in the original movie, possibly delving deeper into the Land of the Dead and introducing new characters and adventures. Given the success and cultural impact of the first film, expectations for the sequel are high, and many are excited to see how the story will evolve.
In the meantime, fans can look forward to other Coco-related experiences, such as the upcoming Coco ride at Disney California Adventure Park, which is currently under construction and scheduled to open in 2026. This attraction will allow visitors to immerse themselves in the vibrant world of Coco and experience the magic of the Land of the Dead firsthand.

While the cast has not been officially announced, fans can anticipate a new ensemble of actors to join the story. The film is being produced by Ghost House Pictures and Bread & Circuses, with additional filming support coming from City Media Park in Belgrade, Serbia .
As of now, an official release date has not been set. However, given the production timeline, fans can likely expect the movie to hit theaters in late 2025 or early 2026.
